Tuscarawas County Farm Bureau Names TVFM 2021 Partner of the Year, Honor Recognized by Ohio Statehouse

The Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market was honored by the Tuscarawas County Farm Bureau with their award for 2021 Partner of the Year! Our market partnered with the Farm Bureau during our 13th season (2021) for a BBQ demonstration where participants learned how to properly prepare a variety of barbecued meats. We’re so grateful to the Farm Bureau for their tireless efforts to advance agriculture and strengthen our communities because we share that mission. Thank you for the support and recognition, and we look forward to partnering with the Farm Bureau more in the future!

After receiving the Partner of the Year award from the Tuscarawas County Farm Bureau, we received further recognition from the Ohio House of Representatives for the honor. We are truly humbled that our efforts are noticed by those in our community.

County Commissioners Show Their Support of the TVFM

The Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market was honored to receive recognition from our county commissioners for the accolades we received over the course of our 12th season (2020). It means so much to us to have the support of leaders at the national, state, and local levels. Big thanks to commissioners Al Landis, Joe Sciarretti, and Chris Abbuhl for their vocal support of the TVFM!

Recognition from the Ohio Statehouse

The Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market is humbled and honored to have received official recognition from the Ohio House of Representatives for being voted as the Best Farmers Market in Ohio and Best in the Midwest Region in the nationwide American Farmland Trust Farmers Market Celebration contest in 2020! The official document was sent to us by Representative Brett Hillyer and Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives Robert Cupp. Thanks to all the patrons, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers who made this possible. We would not be the best farmers market in Ohio without your support!

National and State Officials Recognize the TVFM

The volunteers of the Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market were pleasantly surprised to receive six different commendations from elected officials at the national and state levels recognizing the market’s designation as the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce’s 2020 Organization of the Year. The market received official documents from the offices of:
• U.S. Senator Rob Portman
• Congressman Bob Gibbs
• Ohio State Senator Jay Hottinger
• State Representative Bill Johnson
• Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose
• Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost

We are overwhelmed by the amount of support we have received as a result of the TVFM being named the Best Farmers Market in Ohio by the American Farmland Trust in 2020 as well as the 2020 Organization of the Year by the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce, and we are honored to continue our mission of supporting our local food economy by connecting local farmers and food producers to the residents of Tuscarawas County.

TVFM Named 2020 Organization of the Year by Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce

The Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market has been named the 2020 Organization of the Year by the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce! We’re so thankful for this honor, and we owe it all to the supporters who kept our market alive and thriving during a most unusual season.

We’re #1 in Ohio!

The results of the American Farmland Trust’s 2020 Farmers Market Celebration contest are in, and the Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market was voted as the best farmers market in the state of Ohio AND the best market located in the Midwest region! The TVFM ranked 14th in the entire nation, and considering more than 1,250 farmers markets competed in the contest in 2020, we’re pretty thrilled about that, too! Thank you to each and every person who voted for our market to help us achieve this honor…we truly could not have done it without you!
