We are in the process of applying for infrastructure grants that will allow us to accept food stamps. In order to provide this service we must first be accepted by the Ohio Department of Agriculture as a licensed EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) vendor. If we are not able to do provide this service this year, as it is very expensive to set up the system, we will by next year. We are a non-profit organization and have been using our own funds to set up the market. With hopes we will receive grants and support from the community so that we are better able to serve the needs of the residents of Tuscarawas and surrounding counties.
My family and I were really impressed with the market last week, and enjoyed the atmosphere but especially the things we purchased. We will be back often and hope it continues to get great support. Thanks for all your efforts. It is especially nice for those of us who work to be able to come after work. Great job!!!
With so many people needed help right now with being out of work, are you going to make this available to use the food stamp cards?

I am planning a trip to the farmer’s market soon, could you tell me if there are any vendor’s selling clean sheep wool?
